Gaelic Football: Tyrone through to final

Tyrone 3-12, Mayo 0-11

Tyrone are through to the Divison 1 final of the Allianz National Football league after a 10-point drubbing of Mayo in a one-sided affair at Enniskillen.

The Northern outfit gave the Westerners a lesson in exhibition football in the first-half as they piled on the pressure from the off.

Tyrone's midfield and full-forward lines were superb in attack and they led 1-08 to 0-05 at the break - with Mayo's efforts coming mainly from Conor Mortimer frees.

In the second half, Tyrone extended their lead and when Brian Robinson was sent off in the 51st minute, Mayo had an opportunity to come back into the game.

Kevin Hughes, Stephen O'Neill and Tyrone top-scorer Peter Canavan continued to pick off points while Mayo's efforts and opportunities were few and far between.

It finished 3-12 to 0-11 as the Northern side proved they should not be written off for Championship honours later in the year.
