GAA: Kildare overcome 11-man Clare

Kildare made the running against an understrength Clare side leading by 1-8 to 2-02 at the interval.

In the second half Clare lost the way when Martin Lynch was sent off along with Clare full back Padraig Gallagher.

Clare also had Brendan Considine and Neil Hawes sent to the line, but they were never more than a couple of points behind until Stewart McKenzie-Smith scored Kildare second goal with 13 minute remaining.
