A point from Nigel Dineen in the sixth minute of injury time gave Roscommon a sensational one-point win after a rip-roaring Div 1A tie at Hyde Park.

Offaly led by one point to 0-07 at half time after Alan McNamee's well-taken goal in the 10th minute gave them the advantage.

Offaly looked to have the points in the bag when Donie Ryan crashed home another goal with seven minutes to play.

But inspired by brilliant half back Paul Noone, Roscommon roared back into contention and John Hanley's 32nd minute goal set up the grandstand finish.

Points from Stephen Lohan and Dineen sealed an unlikely victory for Roscommon in a welter of excitement.
