GAA: NFL games near half-time
Most of today’s National Football League matches are nearing half-time with 16 games in all being played.
In Division 1A, Dublin take on Westmeath at Parnell Park with both sides testing the depth of their squads and opting to give valuable experience to younger members of the panel.
The new Dubs coach, Tommy Lyons has been treating this league as a chance to unearth new talent ahead of the championship this summer.
Galway take on Cork in Tuam with Galway seeking to erase last weekend’s loss to Tyrone and return to winning ways as they prepare to defend their All-Ireland title in the summer.
Roscommon host Offaly at Hyde Park and Donegal play Tyrone at Ballybofey.
In Division 1B, Mayo and Cavan clash at Ballinrobe and, despite missing the players involved in the All-Ireland club football final with Charlestown, Mayo are still confident.
Fermanagh meet Kildare at Enniskillen, Derry and Sligo are in action in Celtic Park and the game between Down and Clare has been on since2pm.
In Division 2A, Antrim and Armagh are playing at Casement Park, Leitrim host Louth at Cloone, Wicklow face London and Limerick go up against Kerry.
In Division 2B, Longford and Monaghan are in action, Meath are hosts to Waterford, Carlow are against Tipperary and Wexford play Laois.
