GAA: Davy Byrne retires from Dublin football

Dublin football goalkeeper Davy Byrne has retired from inter-county action after seven years with the Dublin senior team.

The Ballymun Kickhams man cited a dip in form and family commitments as the reasons behind his decision.

Dublin manager Tommy Lyons said he was "very disappointed to lose him".
