GAA: Galway replace goalkeeper for National League campaign
Galway’s senior hurling selectors have decided to replace goalkeeper Michael Crimmins with Clarenbridge’s Liam Donoghue for the upcoming National League campaign.
The beaten All-Ireland finalists have already resumed training ahead of their opening encounter against Dublin on February 24.
Speaking last night about Crimmins’ departure, manager Noel Lane said: "I’m sure he’s disappointed.
"As a player myself, I know from the past that it’s never nice to be dropped off a panel, but Michael knows he’s a young fella, he has a long career ahead of him and he can come storming back into contention again later on."
