GAA: Curran retires from Dublin football team
Paul Curran, Dublin’s longest-serving footballer, has decided to retire from inter-county action.
The player has said his decision was not connected to the county board’s ignominious sacking of team manager Tommy Carr last night.
Curran has urged his fellow Dublin footballers to rally around the new management team, regardless of their views on the manager’s dismissal.
Meanwhile, Carr himself will respond to last night’s development at a press conference this afternoon.
