GAA: O'Neill taking one day at a time

Tippearay Senior Hurler Eugene O'Neill is taking each day as it comes in his preparation for Sunday's All-Ireland senior Hurling final.

Selected at left-corner-forward for the game against Galway, O'Neill blasted two goals having come on as a sib in the Semi-final replay against Wexford.

"I was delighted I got the chance and I was thrilled to get the two goals which were set up for me by the lads." He said.

Looking forward to Sunday's clash with Galway, The Cappawhite man added: " I had my mind made up that if I had the chance I would make the most of it.

" However I am taking every day as it comes. It will be real touch-and-go.

"Both teams are of the same age and the will to win is fierce. Galway are a doing so well at the moment that it they'll be touch to beat.

"But the atmosphere in Tipp is good and hopefully we can do it." He said.
