Security will be stepped up around Croke Park for this afternoon’s All-Ireland football semi-final following a spate of loyalist pipe-bomb attacks on GAA clubs in Co Derry this week.

Around 15,000 Derry fans are expected to travel to Dublin for the clash with Galway.

Gardai and anti-terrorist detectives will carry out special inspections inside and outside Croke Park today to avert any possible attack.
