GAA: Tyrone are Ulster champions
Tyrone 1-13, Cavan 1-11 (full-time)
Tyrone are the 2001 Ulster champions following their two point victory over Cavan in the Ulster Football Final at Clones.
The favourites began well, and put pressure on the Cavan backs which culminated in a goal, supplied by Owen Mulligan and fisted into the back of the net by Cormac McAnallen in the 18th minute.
A superbly-taken goal by Jason O'Reilly put Cavan into the lead for the first time just four minutes before the break.
The full-forward took a pass from McCabe and shrugged off Lawn to squeeze a shot between keeper McConnell and the near post.
O'Reilly, then Anthony Forde and Edward Jackson scored points to put Cavan further into the lead.
The sides were level on 52 mins at 1-10 apiece.
However, Stephen O'Neill (2) and Enda Gormley scored to secure the win for Tyrone.
