GAA: Corkery out of Cork side
Cork manager Larry Tompkins has sprung a surprise or two in naming the
Rebel fifteen to face Clare in Sunday’s Munster Football Semi-Final at
Páirc Uí Chaoimh.
Colin Corkery - who failed to score in last month’s rout of Waterford -
loses out at full-forward to Mark O’Sullivan, who wasn’t even in the panel
for the date with the Déise.
O’Donovan Rossa’s Kevin O’Dwyer replaces Alan Quirke of Valley Rovers in
goal while Anthony Lynch returns at corner-back having come off through
injury midway through the second half of the Waterford game.
Fionán Murray, who netted potentially the Goal of the Season via an
overhead kick against the Suirsiders, retains his corner-forward spot.
