GAA: Tipperary performance augurs well for Championship

Galway 1-15 Tipperary 2-19

Tipperary advanced to the final of the National Hurling League with relative ease when they beat Galway by seven points at Cusack Park, Ennis.

Leading deservedly 1-14 to 0-7 at the interval, the Premier County, especially their forwards, showed a sharpness which augurs well for the Championship.

Their first goal was scored in the first-half by Lar Corbett.

Seven minutes into the second half saw another Tipperary goal scored by Declan Ryan which finished off the game as a contest.

Galway got a consolation goal in injury time through Mark Kearns.
