The PRO of the County Tipperary GAA board, Liz Howard, has paved the way for permission to be given to allow women to officiate and referee Gaelic games in the county.

Speaking at a meeting of the County board she said the matter had been discussed at a conference on the role of women in the GAA and women were very anxious to get involved and play their part.
