GAA: Limerick return to winning ways

Limerick returned to winning ways with a two-point win over Meath in the Allianz NHL at Kilmallock.

Limerick manager Eamonn Cregan used the last game of the current campaign to field some of his lesser used charges but the main focal point was the return of Ciaran Carey to inter-county hurling.

The home side led from start to finish but a goal from Kevin Dowd on the stroke of half time bought Meath back into contention.

Mark Keane came on for Limerick in the second half and his free-kicking made all the difference, sealing a win for Limerick
