GAA: GPA announces new 'golden boot' scheme

The GPA has announced a new 'golden boot' scheme for this summer's hurling and football championships.

The scheme, which is being run in conjunction with Carphone Warehouse, will see £100 for each goal and £1 for each point donated to a student scholarship fund for suitable applicants.

In addition, an award will be made to the top scorer in each championship at the end of the year.
