GAA: Tipp maintain winning ways
Tipperary 5-15, Waterford 2-15 (full-time)
Tipperary maintained their winning ways in the Allianz National Hurling League when they comprehensively defeated Waterford in Nenagh this afternoon.
Playing against a strong breeze in the first half Tipperary had a great start when wing-forward Brian O'Mara goaled after four minutes.
Further Tipperary goals from O'Mara again and Liam Cahill left the Premier County 3-04 to 0-08 ahead at the interval, Paul Flynn getting four of Waterford's scores.
Waterford had a goal from a free in the fourth minute of the second half from Paul Flynn, but Tipperary regained control and further goals from Eugene O'Neill and Lar Corbett gave them a comfortable win.
Waterford had a last goal three minutes from time, but it served only as a consolation score.
