Sure, there was promotion back to the top tier of the national hurling league, ending, in the process, a six-year stint in the second tier. There was also a first championship win over Kilkenny since 2004 and a first Leinster final showing since 2008.

But where, asks Chin, is the silverware? None was garnered so is there much cause for celebration of the Wexford hurlers, he asks. Yes, strides forward were taken, but there’s still a fair stretch of road to be traveled.
