Legend Mick O'Connell takes a look down memory lane at 80

A day of reminiscence was how Mick O’Connell spent his 80th birthday yesterday but the Kerry legend admitted he doesn’t feel his age.

“No, I don’t feel it at all! But again, on the other side, the figure is there and I can’t avoid it! I have it lived now and I’d hope to have another couple of years.”

Recollecting his early years on RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta and Radio Kerry, O’Connell spoke of how he was introduced to Gaelic football.
