Mayfield coach Seamus Lawton praises ‘very balanced’ display

Mayfield coach Seamus Lawton had high praise for his gutsy side, saying their work-rate was phenomenal.

“We might have been a small bit worried coming into the game after we won our two previous games fairly easily. We thought perhaps we might not be up to the pace of the game but that wasn’t the case and I thought the display overall was very good and very balanced.

“The goals that we got were vital, they came at the right time too but it was the work-rate all around the field that really stood to us. But that’s the way it has been all year, every battle they were up for it and this is another great reward for them. .
