Corkman takes dream academy role with Sydney Swans

Highly-rated strength and conditioning coach Ross Corbett, who worked with Limerick’s 2015 All-Ireland U21 winning hurlers, has accepted a dream job with AFL outfit Sydney Swans.

And Cork native Corbett, 27, has revealed how Kilkenny hurling star Michael Fennelly played a key role in his move Down Under.

Fennelly completed an internship with the Swans from December 2013-February 2014 and alerted the club to Corbett’s availability when his impressive CV was uploaded on Coach Finder, a new business spearheaded by Fennelly and former Galway hurling boss Anthony Cunningham.
