Peadar Healy set to recall trio to Cork squad

Shields, of St Finbarr’s, had been a defensive mainstay from 2007 until the end of 2014 while Bishopstown’s O’Halloran had taken over goalkeeping duties on the retirement of Alan Quirke but the pair departed Peadar Healy’s squad after this year’s national league campaign and before the start of the championship, which Cork exited in round 4 of the All-Ireland qualifiers.
The42.ie now reports that the pair, both 30, are now back in the fold ahead of the start of training for the new season next month while O’Donovan Rossa attacker Hodnett, who featured at the start of the league, scoring a goal against Donegal, is also included.
