John Morgan O’Sullivan hails heroes as Kenmare turn on the style

Kenmare Shamrocks 2-11 Templenoe 1-6: A week on from their shared heartbreak of losing the Kerry SFC final while on duty for the divisional side, the footballers of Templenoe and Kenmare found themselves back in Fitzgerald Stadium in a county decider.

This time though they were on opposing sides.

However, the expected collision of two mighty forces never occurred as Kenmare Shamrocks put injury-ravaged Templenoe to the sword in the opening 30 minutes and the game was as good as over at the interval with the soon to be crowned Kerry IFC champions leading 1-8 to 0-1.
