Bubbles the star turn in Tipperary quarter-finals

Thurles, Kiladangan, Killenaule and Clonoulty-Rossmore advance to semis after two Semple Stadium double-headers.

All-Ireland winner John 'Bubbles' O’Dwyer gave the standout performance of the Tipperary SHC quarter-finals, scoring 13 points, seven from play, as Killenaule toppled fancied Kilruane MacDonaghs by 2-20 to 1-20 in a thrilling Semple Stadium clash on Saturday.

Killenaule also had goalie Jonathan Gleeson to thank for a fine save from Brian “Buggy” O’Meara in the last minute.
