Sice failed to get on the scoreboard during Galway’s shock nine-point loss after Tipperary blitzed their opponents with three goals, playing in a free-flowing attacking style en route to an historic last-eight win.

The Tribesmen’s defence had been a key asset throughout their march to a first Connacht SFC crown since 2008 - conceding just one goal in three provincial games - but Tipp caused them hassle from early on, hitting 1-6 in the second quarter alone.
