Kerry captain Killian Young has called on the GPA to use their guaranteed motion next February to try and change the structure of the All-Ireland senior football championship.

The Renard man says the system does no favours to the Kingdom, even if they have an All-Ireland semi-final to look forward to on August 28, having played just three SFC matches.

Young, who says the league has become more competitive than a lot of the championship, welcomes the promise from the GAA that the players’ body will have a motion debated at Congress from next year onwards.
