Cork GAA officials have dismissed suggestions there was an altercation between a Cork football panellist and member of the Rebel management at Saturday’s qualifier game with Longford.

Radio commentary of the game referred to an incident involving a player and member of management during Cork’s win, with plenty of subsequent discussion of the matter on social media.

Yesterday, however, county officials said the exchange had simply been misinterpreted, with the team and management now focused on their Round 4B qualifier clash with Donegal on Saturday week in Croke Park.
