Cork hurling manager Kieran Kingston has dismissed any negativity about Cork GAA, stressing he has enough work on his hands preparing his side for their Munster championship clash with Tipperary on Sunday week.

“As Cork manager you have enough to focus on without going outside your own role,” Kingston said. “Irrespective of where Cork sit in terms of its ranking and hurling at present my focus in on our panel of players and getting them to be prepared to be the best they possibly can be. The rest will take care of itself.”

Kingston acknowledged that Tipperary are “raging hot favourites” for this month’s Munster Championship date.
