Tadhg de Búrca and Briain Ó Beaglaoich among UCC award winners

Last year’s young hurler of the year. Tadhg de Búrca, is one of 10 stellar talents honoured in the annual sports awards, to be presented tonight by University College, Cork.

Internationals and All-Ireland winners are liberally sprinkled throughout the list of recipients who will be feted by the college and Bank of Ireland at the River Lee Hotel in the city.

All-Ireland champions with Cork in Ladies Football and Camogie, Marie Ambrose and Pamela Mackey are honoured for their achievements, while centre-back Sean O’Mahony receives a soccer award for the second year in a row.
