Anthony Cunningham rues ‘unfinished business’

Former Galway hurling manager Anthony Cunningham has spoken of his regret at being unable to complete “unfinished business” with the Tribesmen.

Cunningham, who led the county to All-Ireland finals in 2012 and ’15, was forced to resign last autumn as manager following player unrest. Speaking on Sunday Sport on RTÉ Radio 1 yesterday, he admitted that the situation hadn’t been easy.

“It was difficult,” he said, “there’s no point in saying it wasn’t.
