Jamie O'Sullivan says Cork have turned the corner

Cork corner-back Jamie O’Sullivan has branded Saturday’s battling performance against All-Ireland champions Dublin as a step in the right direction for the county’s misfiring footballers.

Cork’s Croke Park display was far removed from the limp effort churned out when falling to Roscommon by 18 points the weekend previous.

“It was unacceptable last week. We spoke about that. It was evident that we were trying to bring up the workrate. You are looking at Colm O’Neill and he emptied himself, Kevin O’Driscoll emptied himself. More lads need to be doing that and we’ll be alright,” believes O’Sullivan.
