Brian Cody: ‘Great battle but it’s just a win’

Brian Cody was loathe to read anything more into yesterday’s win over Tipperary than two crucial Allianz League points in the bag.

After losing to Waterford, the Kilkenny manager warned the team’s preparations wouldn’t have improved greatly for this game.

“It is just a win. Conditions were better for hurling today, no doubt about that. It was just that we got into the game, we worked hard, and we were competitive right the way through,” said Cody.
