DKIT, who have former Armagh footballer Oisín McConville patrolling the sideline, scored a 2-16 to 0-2 win over Liverpool Hope University in the first of the semi-finals.

The Dundalk outfit wasted little time in asserting their dominance and were well placed at the break, leading 1-8 to 0-1. Declan Flaherty netted their opening goal and a Gerard McSorley penalty succeeded in putting the result to bed in the second half, the Louth player finishing with a personal tally of 1-2. Donal Meegan top-scored with 0-7 as DKIT secured safe passage to a first Trench Cup final appearance since 1997.
