Coach Brian Carson delighted as UL shake off brave IT Tralee challenge

University of Limerick 2-15 IT Tralee 2-8: IT Tralee manager PJ Reidy said they were disappointed not to advance to the quarter-finals of the Sigerson Cup after coming up short on the 4G pitch at UL.

The sides were level at 1-6 to 0-9 at the break after Urhan clubman Conor Lowney struck for a goal following a quickly taken free after 17 minutes.

“We were happy enough at half-time, going in level, but then in the second-half we didn’t take it out like we said we would,” said the Kenmare clubman.
