Dublin began the new year in a positive manner when defeating UCD by six points in their Walsh Cup encounter at Belfield last night.
Two goals in quick succession by Eamonn Dillon and Paul Ryan at the end of the first quarter handed Ger Cunningham’s Dublin the early initiative. But with Colm Cronin impressing for the students, UCD managed to stay in touch through a brace of goals by Oisin O’Rorke.
