‘Priviliged’ Brian Carroll calls time on Offaly career after 14 years of service

The Offaly hurlers will have to plan without prolific forward Brian Carroll for 2016 after the 32-year old yesterday announced his retirement from the inter-county scene.

The Coolderry native has been part of the Offaly set-up since 2002, amassing a championship total of 5-191 during his 14 years in senior service.

Carroll lined out at corner-forward in last July’s qualifier defeat away to Clare; his final appearance in the Offaly shirt.
