Colm Cooper: Players should’ve been told about referee's mic

Kerry star Colm Cooper believes GAA chiefs should have informed players that their conversations with All-Ireland final referee David Coldrick were being recorded for a television documentary.

The production, which aired last week on RTÉ, received huge acclaim however GPA officials subsequently expressed concern that the Dublin and Kerry footballers had no knowledge that the official was mic’d up.

And yesterday Cooper said that the playing squads should have received some warning that their conversations could be broadcast at a later date.
