In the wake of Dónal Óg Cusack’s appointment to the Clare camp, hurlers in Dublin and Tipperary have privately expressed concern about the apparent lack of progress made on preparations for the 2016 season.

While things remain up in the air in Galway, Ger Cunningham and Michael Ryan’s management teams for next year have yet to be confirmed. Cunningham is busy putting together almost an entirely new group of assistants with Shay Boland, Gearóid Ó Riain and Ed Coughlan stepping down. Last week, forward David O’Callaghan said he hoped Cunningham would include one or two Dublin natives in his new set-up.
