Fermoy far too powerful for Glanworth

Fermoy 1-8 Glanworth 0-6: Fermoy could afford the luxury of a missed first-half penalty and still finish comfortable winners over Glanworth in Saturday’s Cork IFC semi-final at Castlelyons.

Tempers boiled over between these near-neighbours late in the game, resulting in Ger O’Neill receiving his marching orders.

It didn’t help that William Blackburn was black carded a couple of minutes later, although it’s fair to say neither had a crucial bearing on the outcome, Fermoy’s victory already assured courtesy of a 50th minute goal from Tomas Clancy.
