Fr O’Neill’s rally to force replay

Fr O’Neill’s 1-13 Mallow 2-10: Mallow and Fr O’Neill’s have to do it all over again in the U21A Hurling Championship quarter-final having ended all square in Riverstown last night.

A late surge by Fr O’Neill’s ensured the draw, with Billy Dunne snatching a goal on the 56th minute bringing them to within one, before Paudie McMahon fired over the equaliser two minutes later.

Mallow had a chance to take the win, but a shot on goal by top scorer Seán Hayes - who finished with 2-4 - was dispatched to safety thanks to Conor O’Driscoll in goal.
