Monaghan unchanged as McCarron returns for Tyrone

Cathal McCarron is the only change to the Tyrone side, returning to the team after missing last Saturday’s win over Sligo due to a family engagement. His selection sees Rory Brennan drop to the bench. Tyrone go with just seven of the team that started the counties’ 2013 All-Ireland quarter-final - McCarron, Peter Harte, the Cavanagh brothers Sean and Colm, Mattie Donnelly, Joe McMahon and Darren McCurry. Monaghan have 11 survivors from that two-point defeat.
Drew Wylie is kept in reserve once more although he has made a full recovery from the knee injury he sustained earlier this summer. Ryan McAnespie was an early second-half replacement for Owen Duffy in the win over Donegal but has been handed a substitute’s number.
