Gutsy Limerick grasp famous hurling victory against Tipperary
Having first lost out to Cork in the Munster intermediate final on Wednesday week last, matters went from bad to worse over the weekend as the Limerick seniors exited the championship on Saturday evening, with the minors failing in their provincial three-in-a-row bid the following afternoon.
The pressure then rested with John Kiely’s U21’s to lift the fairly sizable cloud hanging once again over Limerick hurling. And certainly the odds were stacked against them when Tadhg Gallagher struck Tipperary’s third goal on 51 minutes to level matters at 3-11 apiece.
