Derry turn to O’Boyle for Clones clash with Donegal
O’Boyle came for Heron and scored a point in the one-point win over Down in the quarter-final and is selected at left corner-forward, with Daniel Heavron switching to number 13 to accommodate him.
Westmeath, who meet neighbours Meath in the Leinster semi-finals at Croke Park at 2pm on Sunday, have also made one alteration since the win over Wexford. Lorcan Smyth is picked at corner-forward with Ronan Foley the player to miss out.
Ronan O’Neill will start in a re-vamped Tyrone attack in Sunday’s All-Ireland SFC qualifier clash with Limerick at Healy Park (4pm, Sunday).
O’Neill comes in for Omagh club-mate Barry Tierney in one of two changes made by manager Mickey Harte from the team that started against Donegal in the Ulster championship preliminary round. Tiernan McCann returns to the starting 15, with Cathal McShane dropping to the bench. Mattie Donnelly moves from centre-forward to midfield, with both O’Neill and McCann posted in the half-forward line.
Goalkeeper Mickey O’Neill holds on to his place ahead of Niall Morgan, following his display in the three-point defeat to Donegal. Danny Neville for John Riordan is Limerick’s only change.
Leitrim face Louth in the Gaelic Grounds in Drogheda at 7pm tomorrow night and they have made three changes from their Connacht loss to Galway. Wing-back Thomas Mulvey, full-forward James McGrail and corner-forward Ronan Kennedy are the players to miss out with Danny Beck moving from number 10 to 7 and Shane Quinn, Paddy McGowan and Alan McLoughlin coming in to the attack.
