Mike Quirke: I don’t know Thomas Connolly, but this much I do know...

Back in early part of summer 2007, I was suffering with a persistent head cold that I just couldn’t shake. 

I was loading up on Pharmaton and Rubex which was provided to us by our team doctor, Mike Finnerty, but it wasn’t clearing it. Mike was on the missing list for a week or two so I decided to go to my GP to see if he could help. He made up a solution and put me on a nebuliser right there in the surgery to help free up my breathing.

The thought never even crossed my mind to ask what was in it — sure he knew I played with Kerry. It freed up my airways for a couple of days but I was soon back to square one.
