Kilkenny 4-12 Dublin 2-16: Kilkenny advanced to the semi-finals of the Bord Gais Energy Leinster U21 Hurling Championship after defeating Dublin by 4-12 to 2-16 at Parnell Park last night.

The Dubs played with the benefit of a strong breeze in the opening half and after Conor Martin had spurned a presentable chance from a free for Kilkenny in the first minute, the visitors fell behind thanks to a long-distance strike by Paul Winters.

However, Dublin’s early control was soon punctured when Chris Bolger outfielded James Madden before firing an emphatic finish past Sean Brennan from six yards.
