Two weeks ago, I highlighted the inconsistencies of referees’ judgements on shoulder challenges.

Conor Lane was presented with two difficult calls in Croke Park yesterday but he got both right.

He allowed play to continue in the first half when Jack McCaffrey challenged Rory Connor as he was going through on goal.
