Dingle send Austin Stacks packing in club semi

Dr Crokes will meet Dingle in the Kerry Senior Club FC final after they got the better of Rathmore and Austin Stacks respectively in Tralee yesterday.

Rathmore, despite the heroics of Kerry’s Aidan O’Mahony and his former Kingdom colleague Tom O’Sullivan, fell 1-17 to 2-10 to Dr Crokes, failing to recover from a 0-9 to no-score deficit in the opening quarter.

A cracking 24th-minute goal from Johnny Buckley eased Crokes into a 1-13 to 0-4 half- time lead, but O’Mahony returned to the field of play after going off injured, to inspire a Rathmore comeback of sorts after half time.
