Galway marksman Conor Cooney to miss Leinster championship

Galway hurlers have suffered a big setback in their bid for Leinster glory with key forward Conor Cooney set to miss the provincial campaign.

Cooney, Galway’s only All-Star nominee last year, has suffered a recurrence of a foot injury which has plagued him for months.

He missed all of Galway’s national league campaign with a broken bone in his foot.
