Brian Cuthbert ‘delighted’ as Alan O’Connor returns to the Cork fold

Cork football manager Brian Cuthbert has proclaimed himself delighted with the decision of veteran midfielder Alan O’Connor to return to the panel.

A statement on the Cork County Board website last night announced that midfielder O’Connor, 29, will re-join the squad after this Sunday’s Allianz Football League Division 1 final against Dublin.

O’Connor was one of a slew of retirements, along with Graham Canty, Alan Quirke, Pearse O’Neill, Noel O’Leary, Paudie Kissane and John Miskella, after the end of the 2013 championship.
