Eamonn Fitzmaurice happy Colm Cooper will be ready for summer

Fourteen months after he tore his cruciate and broke a knee-cap in an All-Ireland club semi-final, Cooper played a composed role after coming on as a 62nd substitute in Omagh. It was his angled pass which set up Kieran Donaghy for 69th minute point, which ultimately secured Kerry’s Division 1 status.
“It was great to see him back,” said Fitzmaurice. “Colm has been coming a long time and to get back into the mix again he has worked hard and it’s great for him to finally get a bit of closure on his injury. He is back and has played a competitive game and is ready to go now.”
