Eamonn Fitzmaurice and his selectors have made just one change to the team which beat Dublin last week, with Barry John Keane replacing Paul Geaney in the full-forward line.
Cork have made a couple of interesting choices. Mark Collins is selected at full-forward, having partnered Fintan Goold at midfield in the narrow loss to Donegal last week. Goold’s new partner is Eoin Cadogan, who moves from centre-back, where Stephen O’Donoghue of Ballincollig now takes up tenure. Donncha O’Connor is the player to miss out.
Mayo travel to Celtic Park in Derry with their U21 players left out ahead of the upcoming Connacht championship. There are five changes from the loss to Monaghan: Kenneth O’Malley for Robert Hennelly in goal, Ger Cafferkey and Colm Boyle for U21s Stephen Coen and Patrick Durcan in defence, Danny Kirby for the injured Donal Vaughan at midfield and Micheál Forde for another U21, Diarmuid O’Connor, in attack.
Derry have made two switches. Eoin Bradley and Barry McGoldrick are ruled out through holidays and injury respectively, and are replaced by captain Mark Lynch, who returns from injury, and Aidan McAlynn.
Monaghan, who take on Donegal in Letterkenny, also have two changes. Karl O’Connell and Darren Hughes come into the team with Ryan Wylie and Stephen Gollogly suspended.
Tyrone are unchanged from the draw with Derry, as they go to Croke Park tomorrow night to face Dublin.
There is also a full programme of hurling games this weekend. Cork play Dublin in Division 1A in the curtain-raiser to the Dublin-Tyrone football match. Jimmy Barry-Murphy has made one change from the win over Clare a fortnight ago. With Damien Cahalane out through injury, Shane O’Neill makes his first competitive start since August’s All-Ireland semi-final loss to Tipp.
Wexford host Limerick in Div 1B and Andrew Shore, who recently had a suspension lifted, returns. Eoin Moore and Liam Óg McGovern are injured.
In the Limerick attack, John Fitzgibbon, Declan Hannon and David Breen replace Cian Lynch, Tom Morrissey and Adrian Breen.
